Northwest Barriers, LLC, was established in 2008 by Mike Hubbs and his family as a specialty contractor for fencing, guardrail, crash cushions, steel barriers, and sign installation.

We order the best materials available and combine deliveries to Alaska to minimize the freight charges to help save our customers money. Northwest Barriers LLC invests in our workforce with continuing installation and leadership training, quality inspections and safety training, to ensure the procedures we use are up-to-date.

We are fully licensed and bonded, and offer warranties for all services provided. Most importantly, we work hard to finish each project on time and under budget.

What We Do

Northwest Barriers LLC has installed a variety of high-quality products for just about every type of customer all over Alaska. There is no place we won’t go and no job that is too small.

Products include, but are not limited to, all types of fencing, guardrail, crash cushions, steel barriers, cantilever gates, highway signs and even dog kennels.

We can also design a materials-only option, based on your specifications and location.

How We Do It

Our staff has over 50 years of combined experience in all aspects of construction, fencing, and guardrail industries, and until recently was led by one of the state’s leading guardrail and crash cushion experts, Mike Hubbs.

After over 34 years’ experience working in the field, and having personally installed everything our company offers, Mike recently decided to move on to the next chapter of his life, and sold the business to DreamCon, a company that specializes in giving business owners an exit strategy for their construction and remodeling companies, ensuring their business legacy continues to grow while they enjoy retirement.

We will miss him but wish him well, and are excited to continue delivering incredible service to our clients!

Safety

Our family/employees are the reasons for our success. Their protection is our primary concern. We invest in safety through:

  • Constant education/training/application of our Safety Programs
  • Industry-specific equipment and personal protective equipment
  • Proper maintenance our equipment and tools
  • Mandatory non-DOT drug and alcohol testing
  • Pre-employment and DOT physicals
  • Equipment use certifications
  • Job-specific safety training
